I'm thrilled to announce the opening of The Bead Bar

& Craft Studio with Handmade Happiness by Jess,

located inside the Midwest Market, Racine, WI.

 

The Bead Bar and Craft Studio is a venture born from a passion for

fostering community, connection, and creativity. Unlike large

corporations or franchises, this studio is a one-woman show.

Behind it is just me, Jess—an individual with a dream, a small

network of hands-on support, and an even smaller budget.

 

Despite the limited resources, the goal of creating a space where

people can come together to share, learn, and grow creatively drives

this project forward. To turn this dream into reality, I have created 4

separate ways for anyone interested, willing, and able to help us grow

to do so in a way that works best for them:

#1 Spread the Word: Please share this news with anyone interested in supporting a creative small business, or who would simply enjoy visiting The Bead Bar if local. #2 Support Mental Health & Our Growth: with the Purchase of a Tshirt:

As part of our commitment to community well-being and creating positive change, we're excited to offer special made-to-order fundraising t-shirts. While the stigma surrounding mental health may persist, we have the power to individually overcome it, embracing our true selves in the process. Humor, especially when it's self-deprecating, can serve not only as a powerful coping mechanism but also as an educational conversation starter. This personally designed collection of graphic tees is crafted to do precisely that, with 5% of our profits being donated directly to various mental health organizations. The remaining profit of $5 per T-shirt will go directly towards growing the Bead Bar. Those can be purchased at our Print on demand site HERE

#3 Make a Donation:

Supporting us through a donation is just as valuable. Donations help sustain our creative mission and ensure our continued growth. We have set up a crowdfunding link through Donor Box. Safe and secure donations can be made in any amount HERE as a one-time or recurring donation. 

 

#4 Become an Investor with a 5% ROI:

I believe this is a wonderful opportunity to participate in and benefit from our success. We are offering 5% of our profits within 6 months. As a working mom juggling young kids, a career, and a burgeoning business, I face daily challenges that include managing limited resources, carving out time to nurture my family, and tackling work responsibilities alongside pursuing this dream.

But The Bead Bar isn't just about beads and crafts; it’s about building something meaningful that stands as a testament to my resilience and dedication. As a therapist, I deeply understand the benefits of creativity for mental wellness. Crafting isn't just a hobby—it's a way to enhance brain function and boost serotonin levels, our body's natural 'happiness hormone'. This knowledge drives my passion for creating The Bead Bar, a space where people can work on creating their happiness, both inside and out—something that is more important now than ever. In these challenging times, the connection and support within our community are just as vital. By fostering community connections, we strengthen our collective well-being. The Bead Bar aims to be part of this nurturing process, providing a creative sanctuary for everyone.
